To make use of excellent qualities and splendid appearanceof Daikan products for many years to come...All of our products have been manufactured under strict quality control based on our own technology and know-how developed from the continued research on materials. However, different kinds of pollution and external factors, such as acid rain, tropical cyclones, and soil salinity brought by onshore winds may result in color fading, oxidization, corrosion, etc. Therefore, in order to maintain the product in a good condition, we recommend you to carry out regular maintenance following the guidance below.Maintenance GuideGeneral NoteStainless Steel (SUS 304) has very strong weatherability, but acid rain, saltwater, pollution etc. may cause rust. The standard finish types are brushed, mirror, bead blasted, scuffed and colored stainless steel. These finishes do not have a top coat. (For top coated stainless steel, please refer to the Copper and Brass maintenance guide)Do not use a brush to clean the sign. To clean, dip a soft washcloth into water (without any cleaning agent) and gently wipe the sign clean. If there is a difficult stain, a mild, natural detergent may be used. If you use a sponge, there is a possibility that the sign will be scratched. When cleaning brushed stainless steel letters, wipe in the same direction as the grain.Copper and Brass can easily become tarnished because of many factors, including pollution and acid rain, etc. Because of this, they need a top clear coat. But in some cases with Polished Brass, a clear coat may not be needed if accompanied with proper maintenance. We fabricate our Taff Lite Sign® products with variety of metal plating finishes such as chrome, nickel, gold, etc. To enhance weatherability, top clear coating is provided to Taff Lite Sign® in the same way as for metal products. *Do not apply waxing to products with "semi-gloss" or "matte" clear coating as it will cause "glossy" appearance.Copper and BrassTaff Lite Sign® and Painted Products1.
